Welcome to People of Interest. Our new series where re- aimed a platform voices from across the left side of the political spectrum on a variety of issues,

from geopolitics to community organizing to protecting marginalized groups and more.

With Trump being inaugurated in a few months as president again, we thought it was important maybe now more than ever to start branching out and connecting the left in new ways,

limited as our reach may be. And that's sort of what this series is meant to be, a place for those on the left to have conversations and share what is important to them. This is also sort of our solution for having guest appearances, which is often difficult for us to organize and coordinate given time constraints, but on this series, Gajarai, or sometimes both of us, we'll sit down with somebody remotely for a 30-minute to one-hour conversation about the topic for that week. Usually, that'll be the person's specific area of punditry or expertise. Now, don't worry, this is not going to replace the normal weekly episodes where Gage and I yap about the news that you've come to expect. This is purely going to be in addition. We aim to drop a People of Interest episode once or twice each month,

and this series will appear right in your Hiddo YouTube feed and on all the podcasting app.

episode of People of Interest, and it features Donovan Boynton, a longtime member of the head

in the office community, and someone who is very knowledgeable about foreign policy, international

relations, and national security. Donovan's actually going to be making some content for Hiddo on these topics moving forward,

so we figured it was a perfect place to start this series.

Gage and I sat down with him to talk about what to expect on the international stage

during the second Trump administration, and I feel the looming Trump administration

is going to be the context for a lot of these conversations.
