Beyonce performed an exclusive invite only concert in Dubai.

So no tickets were not sold.

This was a private event held at the launch of a new luxury hotel called Atlantis, the

Royal.

So invitees to the weekend included journalists and celebrities and influencers.

And there were not supposed to be any cell phones at this concert.

When you arrive, they gave you a special bag with the Atlantis logo on it.

You're supposed to put your cell phone in there.

So nothing was going to leak.

But of course, people snuck footage of Beyonce.

And this production, holy cow, like this was full blown and sane concert.

You now understand why she was paid $24 million for literally one hour's worth of performance.

She had blue ivy on stage with her.

She kicked it off with Edda James at last.

So people are watching this and they dubbed it Beyonce Day in Dubai.

Now the decision to go ahead with the show wasn't without controversy because the UAE has

restrictive laws on homosexuality with the death penalty being enshrined in its constitution.
