University of Pennsylvania President Elizabeth McGill resigned on Saturday following her disastrous testimony during a congressional hearing on campus anti-Semitism.

University of Pennsylvania board chair Scott Bach also resigned on Saturday, quote,

I write to share that President Liz McGill has voluntarily tendered her resignation as president of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bach went on in the statement to say, she will remain a tenured faculty member at Penn Carey Law.

The message included a quote from McGill that read, quote,

It has been my privilege to serve as president of this remarkable institution.

It has been an honor to work with our faculty, students, staff, alumni, and community members

to advance Penn's vital missions.

Bach also tendered his resignation as well.

McGill has been ripped to shreds for her remarks she made during a congressional hearing

investigating anti-Semitism on college campuses last week.

Ms. McGill, at Penn, does calling for the genocide

of Jews violate Penn's rules or code of conduct? Yes or no? If the speech turns into conduct,

it can be harassment. Yes. I am asking specifically calling for the genocide of Jews. Does that

constitute bullying or harassment? If it is directed and severe or pervasive, it is harassment.

So the answer is yes. It is a context-dependent decision, Congresswoman. In completely unrelated

news, a fifth of Americans aged 18 to 29 believe the Holocaust was a myth,

according to a new poll from the economist and UGov.
