She's a New York-based pelvic pain specialist.

After completing her OBGYN residency,

she then pursued a fellowship in neurology.

So having trained in these two areas

gives her a unique perspective on women's health issues. Dr. Balani, in her private practice,

focuses solely on the medical and procedural treatment of pelvic pain.

Can you introduce yourself? Yes, first of all, thank you for having me.

My name is Dr. Sonia Bellani and I'm a New York City-based pelvic pain specialist.

So everyone asked me, what does that even really mean and so by training I'm a

GYN I finished up my residency over at New York Presbyterian Cornell and then I

actually did my fellowship in urology so it's a very non-traditional training but it in your

and very non-traditional training, but it is really specific to sexual and pelvic health and that's what I do.
