Hey everyone. This is Durenda Wilson. Welcome to this week's podcast. If you don't know me

already, I'm married to Daryl. We have eight kids. I almost said 28. It's not that much.

Eight kids, but we've been married 28 years,

and we've been homeschooling over 22 years. And so God has just been so good to us. And today,

I have a very special friend here with me. Her name is Terry McKee. And if you haven't heard of her, I actually started to get to know her a couple of years ago right after a very life-changing event happened

for her and her family. I'll explain that in just a minute. But first, I want to let you know where you can find her

because when you hear her story, you're going to want to track her down and hear what she has to say.

She has a blog called Near Your Altar, and it is discipleship despite difficulties.

And when you hear Terry's story, you're going to just be blown away by the faith that this woman has and in spite of the difficulties that she's faced. In fact, probably because of the difficulties she's faced. And so she's going to be sharing that with us today. I will put links in the show notes to her blog, also to two of her books, which we're going to be giving away.

So the first book is called Token Faith, and it is about moving from fake to real faith in Jesus Christ.

And I've read the book, and it's a sweet little book, and it's a pretty quick read.

Yes.

So, but there's a lot there.

And also unto us, a child is born, which is an advent devotional for anyone it's

for moms it's for women for men for families uh some people have been using it in their sunday school
