I do things a little bit different.

On Fridays I try to cover viewer requested stories

from the week, small and large, sometimes for better and also worse.

And so with that said we're going to start off with some viewer requested industry news.

This week we saw YouTube rewind back in the news, of course, the infamously most disliked video here on YouTube. And that was because we had Susan Wajiski. the also talking about on this show like Article 13, also looking back at

monetization in the past, moving forward, and then she also acknowledged the

glaring disconnect that was YouTube rewind from a lot of the YouTube

community writing, but one record we definitely didn't set out to break

was the most disliked video on the internet.

Even at home, my kids told me our 2018 rewind was, quote,

cringing.

We hear you that it didn't accurately show the year's key moments, nor did it reflect the

YouTube you know.

We'll do better to tell our story in 2019.

So it's good to see from a higher up that they're aware of this disconnect and it'll be

interesting to see how they pivot.

You know, are they talking superficial changes,

or do they embrace the massive things
