0:11.0	And the first thing we're going to talk about today is kind of two different things, but they're unified in that they are about a comic book movie or comic book movies. The first is that Joker premiered over the weekend, and of course before the release,
0:21.3	there was controversy, there was concern,
0:23.3	also some backlash against Todd Phillips.
0:25.1	You know, one of the notes that I left
0:26.3	on our previous coverage of this was,
0:27.8	it'll be interesting to see what happens at the box office,
0:30.2	right? Would this effect it in some way?
0:31.9	And so what we're seeing now is reportedly Joker made
0:34.1	93.5 million from US theaters, as well as over $140 million overseas, and that's without
0:40.0	even opening in China yet. Over into reports, this is the highest domestic open for an October
0:44.5	film. So that's the money as far as the reviews. Those are a little all over the place. On Rotten
0:48.6	tomatoes, the critic score is 69%. The audience score is 90%. I also went to see the movie over the weekend with my five-year-old who was horrified thoroughly enjoyed it. There's the thing. I can understand if certain people had issues with the pacing. I personally kind of liked that we had to stew in certain situations.
1:12.6	But, and I tweeted about this, one of my favorite reviews thus far, because I've been scrubbing
1:16.6	through the negative ones, was from Esquire magazine and essentially it was like, it made me feel sad.
1:20.6	And so like, once again, what movie did you think you were going to go watch?
1:23.6	It is a murdering clown super villain origin story. But once again, everyone can have opinions,
1:28.3	which actually is related to the other bit of comic news.
