In terms of how it went, do we need for it to go great for Bill O'Brien to be the best candidate here?

Like, they know who he is.

He knows who they are.

He has plenty of experience with Bill Belichick.

He has plenty of experience with ownership,

with an offense that should and could work here in New England.

We saw it work for the most part a couple of years ago with a rookie quarterback.

So in terms of, like, how it went, I think that's superfluous, whether it's media people talking or it's talking to people in the building who matter.

Like everybody is assuming that he is the best candidate.

They know he's the best candidate.

And there is a part of Bill Belichick that doesn't love doing what people are expecting

him to do or are asking him to do, especially in a big decision like this one.

So I understand where you're coming from, Giles.

I just think, Bert, in terms of the qualifications, somebody who has had experience in that

offensive coordinator job, not just as an offensive coach and not just an upgrade over what they had last year,

but has real experience in the offensive coordinator role would matter a lot,

especially when you look at what they're coming off of last year.
