Lamar Jackson eligible to meet with teams after the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him.

We know that Jackson does not have an agent, okay?

So what's happening now behind the scenes?

The teams have to contact him directly if they want to negotiate.

And it's my understanding that the NFL management council provides his information to all 32 teams. So they got a cell phone, his office phone, whatever it is. They can contact him. So right now there's no real firm offer sheet for Lamar Jackson that I'm aware of. Teams are probably slow playing this. The draft could be a good indicator because

you have a team like, say, the Colts at number four, if they feel like they can't get the quarterback of the future they want in the draft, maybe they pivot to Lamar Jackson. The Jets, should they strike out with Aaron Rogers? Certainly that's not expected, but they could pivot. And then you've got some wild cards, like a Tennessee or a New England, teams that like to run the ball, you never know.

I mean, we're five to six weeks out from the NFL draft, so you don't expect there to be any seismic movement before that. Maybe the draft sort of, like you said, sorts itself out. There's a feeling in the league that this will be slow, and that it's possible that no offer sheet at all comes. Because of the dynamics of all you have to do to change your offense, the $200 plus million of guarantees, two first round picks you've got to give up, there's just a lot involved. I'm All right. Hi there. Everybody, welcome into the program.

It occurred yesterday, I believe, on ESPN. And it's sort of like Jeremy Follow there.

It just kind of slipped it in there. It was a little slippage, which is where we'll begin today on a reentry Monday with Felger and Maz. Maz in the Maz chair, Murray alongside, how you fellow's doing? Good you. Okay, Jimmy again, just give that to me again, so I made sure that I got it. And then got some wild cards, like a Tennessee or a New England. Teams that like to run the ball. Again, he said New England in there. Wild card. For a New England. Okay. Thank you. Yep. He said it. So just I feel Murray like for a New England. It's just there's just a little uptick in the chatter. or there's just a little uptick in the rumor mongering there with Lamar Jackson to the New England Patriots.

Are you buying any of it? I'm holding out hope, yes. I mean, will it happen? Probably not given, you know, what his contract is and would they pay that, blah, blah, blah. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm holding out hope because if they are going to turn things around with this franchise in terms of being competitive and actually, you know, competing for a championship, competing to actually win your conference, they have to do something like this. Because otherwise, it's just going to be more of the same. What do you think, Mad, you missed the end of last week where there was even, Nickovich went on ESPN and did something even stronger last week.
