Good morning to everyone except for Clay Travis and Rudy Gobert. It is Monday morning, which means we are diving behind the scenes of fantasy football, behind the business. This is a series that we've had going on for about a month and a half now. And we are interviewing some of the top people in the fantasy sports, fantasy football space in particular, nothing to do with players, nothing to do with

0:20.8

coaches, nothing to do with teams, nothing to do with the NFL draft. This is all behind the business.

0:25.3

This is the advertising, the marketing, the sponsorships, the engagement, the social. And today

0:29.9

we have Mr. Pat Mayo. He is all over the space. He has been in the content game for a while.

0:35.3

He has obviously top quality production. He runs the Pat Mayo experience, which is his show on his side of things. Someone that dives very heavily into fantasy football, big into the DFS and the betting portion of things. And we'll talk about the evolution of where the industry is going, very into golf. So that's an avenue that he has been able to exploit, which I see it gaining more and more popularity as the years have gone by.

0:56.1

And it's an interesting spot to be in because we see football having such a rise in popularity.

And you've been able to get your hand into the whole golf thing.

1:05.7

So I'm intrigued to talk about that.

1:07.2

But we have a lot of a lot of good stuff to get off on our plates today. So, Pat, I'm happy to welcome you into the headquarters for the behind the business of fantasy football

1:15.6

series. How you doing? I'm doing all right. Thanks for having me on. I've really enjoyed this

1:19.5

series so far because one of the main things that I've noticed is that everyone really comes from

1:25.5

just sort of a different background of how they got into it.

1:29.6

And when you kind of have that, like where you can look at everyone and say, everyone

1:34.1

looks kind of similar, but the background seemed to be completely different and the different

1:38.3

business approaches people have taken from their experience for whatever else they used to

1:42.4

do in translating that onto a fantasy football

1:45.4

product, the business of fantasy football. I think it's actually helped the industry a lot

1:49.7

because back when I first started writing, there was a lot of like basically people writing for

1:54.7

free on the internet or like lawyers who would go home after work and hate their lives and

1:59.7

write about fantasy football.

2:05.3

So you have a lot of smart people who ended up coming into the space, especially now,
