We're right on the Virginia line and 20 minutes north of us were on top of Blue Ridge Parkway. And so they they had these hiking trails and there were more and more people buying property there.

And they wanted somebody to cut roads down to the end of the trail. So somebody got hurt. They could get a jeep down there and get them out.

So we were down there and I mean, we were, I mean, in the middle of nowhere, I mean, just nowhere. And we found the remains of a log cabin.

And we thought, you know, nobody but God and the people who lived there even knew this place existed. You know, what did they do?

And like the deep woods. Yeah, and I mean, right on the side of a hill, I mean, there's no way you could grow anything and grounds too rocky.

I mean, it would take you with a horse and a mule or take you two days to get out of it. And what these people do? I mean, it's crazy.

But somehow they lived there long enough to build a cabin and I guess they lived there till they died.

They probably, they probably were happy as hell. No way was bothered. They were. Yeah. You know what I mean?

And they probably made a little liquor on the side. I would imagine if they needed to earn some money. That was a common trade in those days.
