I We were speaking about it yesterday on the show what's going on with the police and

police shootings and the black community and the news and how the news is inflating everything and driving, you know, agitating everyone.

And I know you've written about a lot of this and I know you've discussed a lot of it.

So let's talk about it from your perspective as a

young black man. What is your take on for instance we just had the debates a

week ago and they dedicated a half hour to race relations.

Do you have thoughts?

Well, there's an emerging narrative that is that really, it began before 2012, but it really

started picking up steam around 2012 and 13 with Trayvon Martin and Michael

Brown in 2014 and has reached probably its apex right now and what that narrative says is that it's

taking your life into your own hands to be a black person in this country, that there is an epidemic of shootings

of unarmed black people by the cops. And that this type of thing just doesn't happen to white people.

Right.
