Question. What's something that you'd really like to do in Paris for the first time?

0:06.7

That is essentially the question that I asked all of my friends, all 13 of them, to come up with the bucket list 2022 for the Eiffel Tower.

0:16.5

If you've been around for a while listening, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I do this every year.

0:20.7

If you're brand new, I'll give you the 10 second summary.

0:24.1

You list five things that you really want to do in Paris in 2022, that you've never done before,

0:29.4

and then you try and do them.

0:31.3

It's an excuse to explore the city, and it works if you're a tourist, if you're a long-time resident, and it also works as a way to spend more time with your friends doing cool stuff.

0:40.2

So in today's episode, I have my friend, Shelley, an art consultant who's been in Paris for about seven years.

0:47.3

She is the reigning champion of the Eiffel Tower bucket list.

0:51.6

In fact, she's the only person to ever complete her whole list,

0:55.0

and she did it about three years ago now. So she's the expert. Even though this is my thing,

1:00.8

she is the expert. And I got her on to talk over her list, to explain the things that someone

1:07.9

who's been in Paris, like she has for seven years, what she

1:11.9

wants to do still in the city. We go through my list. They're quite different, both of our

1:16.6

lists. But then we also go through the list of some of my friends, some of whom are French.

1:22.2

They've lived here their whole life, some of whom I've been here only a year. The idea for you guys at home is hopefully you'll be inspired to find some new things in Paris.

1:32.1

All of it is going to be on the website, theaitheltaire.com.

1:35.2

The other thing is, if you can't make it to Paris this year, you can do a little bit of dreaming.

1:40.7

You can plan your next trip.

1:42.5

You can think of some of the cool things that are here to do that we talk about. Or, and I highly encourage this as well, you can write a

1:50.3

bucket list for your own city. Maybe you live in the middle of Tasmania in a town with a population

1:55.3

of 600. You can do a list too. I'm sure there's five things to find there. Write a comment on my social media with your own list.
