Happy, Happy Christmas Eve, Eve.

I come to you today with a special show on St. Nicholas of Myra.

This will not be just a history show where I regale you with interesting facts about Santa Claus and

the historic the historicity of Santa Claus who was St. Nicholas of Myra. No, I will give you a little

bit of historical detail which justifies the practice, the yearly practice on Christmas Eve of Santa Claus,

because there's a debate ongoing amongst faithful Catholics. I don't even consider

non-faithful Catholics who are just sort of humanist simpletaire, they're out of the debate.

No, among both sides, and there's a reasonable argument that I come out in favor of the practice

of St. Nicholas, both sides have a case. And there's an unreasonable way to argue the other side, and I'll mention what that is.

But there's a reasonable way, and my friend Matt Frad reasonably acquitted himself on the other side of this.

I'd like to respond to some of his reasonable points.

I think a lot of people share these reasonable

concerns and demurs with Santa. So what I'm going to do now is I don't typically say this in my

shows. If there are any small kids in the car of young grade school age, maybe ask them to step out because I don't want to spoil anything,

especially given my point of view on the magic of St. Nicholas, the fun, the amazing childhood day.

It really informs the best day of childhood for those of us that argue forza forza,

for arguably for Arias, beard-grabbing, face-slapping Santa Claus. He's a bad, bad man who's a
