Good morning everybody. It is great to see this morning. If you have your

Bibles there if you'll turn to Genesis chapter one and I am going to finish the parenting seminar that I've been doing this weekend by bringing a message this morning that is important to everyone.

If you're a grandparent, single parent, blended family parent, a parent, if you're going to be a parent, whatever.

This is an important message on the subject of parenting.

You know, this is a day that we live in. There has never been a more severe world

for children to grow up in. There never has been. There have never been more elements in

the world today that present more difficulties for parents

and for children.

And there's just never been a time that it's been more important for parents to get it right.

And so I love teaching on parenting. Our children, by the way, are grown. They're 27, our son is 27. In fact, I think I noticed he and my, our daughter-in-law over here in this section somewhere.

And but he has grown wonderful man of God married a great gal.

In fact, she is Pastor Tom's secretary here at the church.

And our daughter is 30, and she's married to a pastor in Amarillo,

Corey Albrock, and they have twin, we have twin granddaughters, they have twin daughters,

and now we're seeing her raise her children and they're just terrific parents.

And so, you know, we've been through this process and we have seen all the cycles.

We certainly had challenges in the area of parenting, but we've seen now the full cycle of how our children turned out.

And so I just want to share some things with you this morning on the importance of this because

when you raise your kids, you need to get it right.

It's too important. I saw a family coming into church this

morning that reminded me of a story I heard about you know needing to get it right and

doing your parenting job but there's a story about a pastor one Sunday morning
