So I want to go on and allow our panelists to come up here and allow them to introduce themselves

when they get up here. And we're not going to do like the standard like academic style opening

statements. We just want to have a conversation with three women who are passionately committed

to the cause of parental rights

in the country. So we have Mahat Cook, Ali Maher, am I mispronouncing your last name?

Marais and Michelle Exner. Thank you very much for joining me.

Mack, let me just start with you and we can work our way down.

How did you get involved with the Prital Rights Movement?

I love the story, but it's quite brief.

I'm a new mom. I have a 10-month-old at home, and I'm expecting, so another one on the way in December, and I started

noticing that our parental rights were under attack in Ohio.

We are truly the battleground state there where the ACLU has started targeting not only

our schools, but kids, and allowing them to perform life-altering surgeries,

like transgender surgeries without parental consent. We have the most important decision this

November. It's on our ballot to allow for kids to go through these surgeries without consent.

And we are the number one state that the

ACLU is trying this out on. So I decided to get involved and speak out because I've had a lot of

opportunities being an immigrant in this country. Came here when I was five from India. And the number

one privilege I've had is education and my parents making those decisions when I was a minor

on what's appropriate and what's not in terms of health care. That's why I'm involved, Eric.
