And the papal conclave has now begun. You know, earlier today, the College of Cardinals convened in the Sistine Chapel to begin the papal conclave or the election of the next

pope. Of course, very, very prophetically significant.

I'll be doing a deep dive into that here in just a moment.

But, you know, inside the Sistine Chapel, the votes of 133 cardinals,

they're being cast on handwritten ballots with the words,

I elect Supreme Pontiff, and then they'll give a name.

If no candidate receives two-thirds majority,

then the ballots are burned with a chemical that releases black smoke from the chimneys chapel.

But if the Pope is chosen, then the smoke turns white and the bells of St. Peter's Basilica ring out.

I've been there. I've been, I have never been inside the Sistine Chapel, but I've been, I've walked right along the outside wall of it before you get into the Vatican there.

And very, very, a lot of pomp and circumstance, beautiful buildings.

But, of course, most of us know what goes on inside.

On the first day of the conclave, one ballot may be held in the afternoon, and then subsequently up to four ballots are conducted each day after that, two in the morning, two in the afternoon.

And the cardinal electors, they continue voting in successive rounds until a new pope is elected.

They have to get a two-thirds majority. Think about that.
