Pakistan government supporters stage rare sit-in protest at the release of former premier Imran Khan.

At the same time, we have news from Pakistan that the court is requesting requiring Imran Khan

to appear again in court after his release several hours passed, several days passed.

It's very confusing at this point, which is why I'm very pleased to have Hussein Akhani,

former ambassador from Pakistan to the United States. Now at the Hudson Institute,

an arch colleague Bill Rajyo of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, Long War Journal,

watching this region especially because what it means for the stability of the whole

of the subcontinent, but especially the darkness visible up Afghanistan. Mr. Ambassador,

the arrest, the release, the remarks by Imran Khan, I believe blaming the army as well as the

government, the court demanding Imran Khan appear again in court, and now protest by government

supporters following mass turnout of Khan supporters. This has been building for months.

As I understand it, it turns on allegations of wrongdoing that seem extremely minor having

to do with selling or obtaining gifts while he was a prime minister. What is your measure of the

overall story now? The government taking on Khan? Is this a fair match? Does Khan have the

skills to manage this? Good evening to you. Good evening. Well, we don't know who has what's

to manage? You believe the army managed things from behind the scenes, got the courts to fall in line,

and if they wanted somebody out of office, the person was removed, if they were legal proceeding
