Well, General Austin Muner is is Pakistan's most powerful man. You know, technically, he's the head of the

Army, but the Army is the most powerful institution in the country. And today, the Army effectively rules the country.

So there's a caretaker government that's in power.

It's supposed to oversee the elections which have been tentatively scheduled for February.

But really what's going on here is that the Army is attempting to recast the political process,

recast the political system, and install its own favored forces through the next

elections but all of that is very uncertain because there are limits to which
