Islam about Pakistan, Washington Post in these last hours.

Four days after a shocking election result, rattled Pakistan's establishment.

All our eyes are on the powerful generals that have long been seen as the ultimate

arbiters of politics in this country.

I welcome Bill Rajo the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy as he and his colleagues keep the

Long Word Journal and former ambassador from Pakistan to the United States

now at the Hudson Institute the Seinukani who is recently his last

conversation last week, obliged us to understand there are

patterns, there are cycles, there are recognizable events in Pakistan that have, well as the man did say once upon a time, rhyme with what's

gone before, not repeat, rhyme.

And this result might be one of the Mr. Ambassador, the P. T. I, the party associated

with the former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is now in jail and condemned for many years because of prosecution by the government.

The PTI have secured more than a hundred seats. There's some debate here and the first

reporting not a majority there are 265 I believe parliamentary seats.

Not a majority but that is contested. The other two parties associated with Novashirif and

a rival have in various countings much less, although together they might overwhelm PTI.

So what we see now in Pakistan is a recognizable contest to form a coalition.
