Well, hello and welcome back to Kindled. Today I have a conversation to bring to you with Brittany McArdle of the

biblical birth school all about the idea of pain-free birth. Is this a idea that we as Christian women

should be open to? Should we pursue this? Should we desire to have pain-free birth? What does the Bible say about birth and what

we should expect? How do we have a biblical worldview of birth? Obviously, this is a huge

conversation. We're not going to be able to get to all of the facets and different aspects of this

conversation. There's going to be more on this topic. I'm going to be having a couple

other birth experts on the show, but we're starting off the topic with Brittany McArdle because

she is an accredited childbirth educator and also has a doula certification program for women

to learn how to become birth duels from a biblical worldview.

So she's really fighting back against a ton of the very secular and new age ideas that are

present in the birth world, which I appreciate so much because I don't think I realized just

how prevalent and ubiquitous this had become on social media.

Even inside of those who claim to be Christians and Christ

followers, just did not realize the popularity and magnetism, I guess, with which this type of

idea is pushed into the conversation and especially on Christian women and very much with this idea

that there's kind of a prosperity birth gospel that you can have a pain free birth, that you

deserve to have a pain free birth, and that that is just a reasonable thing to pursue.

So we're going to talk all about that in this episode.

Everything from Christian programs that promise to teach you how to have a pain-free birth,

different things like that. It's a lot more overwhelming than it was. I'll say the last time I was

pregnant five years ago. So I can see how this topic would be very

kind of, you know, confusing and even tempting for Christian women to start to look into. And you
