are thinking about staying alive, keeping my mom alive. That's really the job that I took on

from a very early age. God's story has been unfolding.

Hi, this is Meredith Foster. Kate Taylor has a passion to share the

transformative power of God's love. She has that passion because she knows what life is like

without God. She knows just how desperate we can feel when we believe we're alone. Kate was born in

England to a single mom. She grew up believing she was a mistake.

For seven years, she lived under the tyranny of an abusive stepfather, focusing all her energy on

simply surviving and keeping her mother and brother alive. This led to an eating disorder and

complex post-traumatic stress disorder. By the time she was 17, she hit rock

bottom. Today, Kate is the founder of 828 women, a ministry that encourages women to believe that

God can work all of our stories, even the hardest parts for good. A word of caution, while Kate's

story is filled with redemption and hope, it does include

some really difficult stories of domestic violence. I was born in Northern England in a very,

very small village to give you some context of how small there were seven kids, including myself, in my whole year,

or I guess you would say grade in America.
