Hi, this is Meredith Foster. When Miss Kay Robertson was a young girl, her grandmother told her one day she might have to

fight for her marriage. Well, that seemed crazy to Ms. Kay's young ears, but it turned out her

grandmother was right. Long before Phil and Kay Robertson and their sons became famous for making

duck calls and the television show Duck Dynasty, they lived through 10 hard years.

The story of those early years is being told in a new movie called The Blind.

Phil and Kay started a family and married as teenagers.

While Phil was playing football for Louisiana Tech, he began drinking, and when he did,

in Ms. Kay's words, bad things happened.

Ms. Kay says back then, Phil was the worst of the worst and well on his way to either jail or an early

grave. She knew if he was ever going to change, it would take a miracle.
