Hi, this is Meredith Foster.

Maybe you know someone who seemed to be a prodigy from a young age. Everyone just knew what

they were going to do when they grew up. That's what it was like for Jeremy Rosato. He started

singing at three. He was performing in church. He was doing block party concerts in his neighborhood

in New York City by the time he was six years old. Ever since he was little, he knew he was going to sing. When he was 10,

he watched Kelly Clarkson win on American Idol, and he told his parents, that's going to be me one day.

As he grew in his faith, Jeremy began to understand not only that he had a gift, but that God

wanted to use that gift. He had been dreaming and believing for so long.

So when he made it on American Idol, it seemed like the dream was finally beginning.

But at home, addiction had kept Jeremy's sister from being the kind of mother that she wanted and needed to be.

At the tender age of 13, Jeremy had begun stepping in as a

father figure for his two-year-old niece, Jocelyn. Now years later, when Jeremy is 21, just as American
