Summary

*This episode contains reference to sexual violence. Listener discretion is advised.

With so much drama going on outside of the cage, I talk about the following on today's episode:

  • The latest in separate court cases involving former UFC stars Mark Hunt and Cain Velasquez (00:56)
  • Why I believe Paddy Pimblett vs. Tony Ferguson makes so much sense for each guy, and why I'm confident Ferguson can beat Paddy (19:39)
  • Joe Rogan's belief that Conor McGregor can come back even stronger, and why I find it very hard to believe that will be the case (27:36)
  • What's going on in this crazy build-up to Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis? (38:12)

Plus, I get into the booking of Wonderboy Thompson vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov, and more.

And you do not need a drug test to know that Lesnar was on steroids then, or he was on steroids now, or he's on steroids next week, or he was in steroids in college, you could just look at him.

You meet the guy that goes to the carnival, and he wants to yell at the worker afterwards. You saw the ride, and then you bought a ticket.

What's happening guys? Happy Friday! And thank you for joining another special episode of your welcome.

Guys, there is so much going on in combat sports this week. The build up to Logan Paul and Dylan Dennis has gotten heated, and I got away in on it.

0:38.0

Plus, I'm going to tell you why Tony Ferguson versus Padding the Batty is the perfect fight, and Joe Rogan has some strong words to say about Conor McGregor.

0:48.0

I'm going to get to all of that and more today, but I want to begin here.

0:52.0

Mark Hunt made MMA news this week, and I found this to be somewhat interesting, and one regard it was topical, he's had a lawsuit going against the UFC for a number of years.

1:09.0

But it had a lot of different tentacles that appears, because a number of those lawsuits were open and shut, but then you'd read months later that there was another motion.

1:19.0

And then you'd read that it was dismissed, and you'd read that there was another motion. You'd go, oh my god, is Mark having to write the checks for these?

1:27.0

Did Mark get some lawyer to go, yeah, I'm a fight fan, and I'll throw my name around you, and I'll go take on these big guys. Maybe I can give a little bit of press out of it.

1:34.0

Lawyers will do that all day, but that doesn't mean that he found one. There could just be a scumbag lawyer that told Mark that he had a case, and legitimately Mark was paying this guy.

1:47.0

This would have been easily a six-figure lawsuit if Mark was writing the check, and I do ask that question, because if a lawyer took this pro bono, or he took this for a piece, okay fine.

2:00.0

But there would be a massive ethical issue.

2:04.0

If Mark cut from New Zealand not knowing the laws of America and more specifically Nevada had to hire and retain an attorney, because that was a terrible case.

2:18.0

There was not one person amongst us that thought that Mark had any standing in that case, and everybody's a big Mark fan.

2:29.0

It wasn't personal. It was a bad case. Essentially the premise goes like this. You have C200. Brock Lesnar versus Mark Hunt. Brock Lesnar was dirty.

2:45.0

He was taking steroids, and specifically steroids. That's a big deal. Like anytime somebody fails a pet test, the uneducated will then say that steroids, but steroids are really quite antiquated.

2:58.0

In terms of performance enhancing drugs, steroids are no longer king. It's not like 1972, just for example. But in Brock's case of clomaphine, he was taking steroids.

3:12.0

The test was administered to Brock prior to the fight. Now, I'm going to make dates up. I read the whole thing. I have the information. It's a matter of retaining it. I think I've got it.

3:25.0

But I'll prove my point either way. The fight is going to be on a Saturday. Thursday prior to the fight, a drug test is administered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.

3:37.0

The fight happens on Saturday. Later, two weeks later, the test results come back. Brock Lesnar on steroids. Brock Lesnar, who had his hand raised that night, instead it moves to a no contest.

3:56.0

Mark Hunt's assertion was that the UFC and or in kuhuts with the United States Anti-Doping Agency concealed the results of the test until after the bout.
