apprising us of the Grand Prix Raceway now built at Las Vegas, being watched by

Sphere with a big eye watching the cars go around and

then Sphere turned into a great big baseball with the word letter A on the

side. What's happened Jeff? They had a vote this week of Major League Baseball

owners and they approved the move of the Oakland athletics, the A's, from Oakland to

Vegas. This has been something that's coming for a number of years.

It was certainly sped up by all the developments in Vegas over the past few years.

The success of the sports teams there, the golden knights of the hockey the fact that the raiders move there

from Oakland and then other developments that seem to be on the horizon of sports and

not the least which is Formula One this weekend have all been helping to pull it you know it's the

gravitational pull of Vegas these days so it looks like Oakland has lost their

Major League Baseball franchise and now it leaves them with basically no pro sports.

Once upon a time when I started following

Reggie Jackson in the 1970s, he was the home run hitter in the Oakland Hayes and the stadiums were

full and they celebrated their antics and they had great pictures what happened

Jeff? What happened was over the years, you know, expansion certainly weakened, you know, some of it, but also the free agent market made it difficult for them to compete.

It's not, Oakland's not the same kind of market or the same kind of money that LA or, you

know, so New York has and so they've kind of suffered.

They've suffered through, you know, poor... decisions and arguably week ownership

and then you know the county the city that operates the stadium has not been

...
