on nickel and dimming in Las Vegas. Now, this city has organized to be a city of the future.

Baseball inbound, neighborhoods outside growing, and then there's the strip.

Jeff, a very good evening to you.

You've explained nickel and dimming for some time.

One more time, what is the concern in Vegas about charging?

What we've seen is the hotels and casinos, particularly along the strip during this thing

called nickel and diming.

It used to be you could go to Vegas and you could get cheap meals and free drinks on the casino

floor and relatively inexpensive entertainment.

And the reason all those things were there is because the casinos or the companies that ran them with the mob,

whoever you want to call it, knew that in order to get you to spend more money, they had to keep you there longer. They had to keep you entertained on the floor in the city. Well, what they decided to start doing is looking at a different bottom line and saying, well, how much can we get to charge them for parking over the weekend or to use the pools with these resort fees? Or how much can we hike the prices for drinks at the

local, the bars and the casinos? And it's been ridiculous. So, you know, sometimes you're

talking $50 a day to park at a casino. You're talking about a martini that's nothing special

that it's between 40 and 50 bucks for one. And resort fees that can run 5050 to $100 a day on top of what you're paying
