The Los Angeles fires.

We begin with the wind, the variable right now that is predicted and it's not good news. Jeff, a very good evening to you.

I've been reading different reports for the last 24 hours. The projection is through Wednesday.

What is expected within these next six hours? Good evening to you. Good evening, John. Well, it's going to

continue to be warmer and

drier. It's been a very sunny, bright day today in Southern California. Humidity's dropping,

and of course, things getting warmer. Those are usually bad things combined with the heavy fuel

bed of dead and dying brush that we have in the hills and mountainside.

And so when you get a hot ember or some other burning material that is carried to them by a high wind,

that's when we're looking at fire dangers.

I think for the next six hours, the fire departments are going to be really working hard

to make some progress on the fire lines. The Eaton fires 33% contain.

The Palisades fire is about 14% contained, I believe. Those aren't great numbers, especially

with high winds on the horizon tomorrow, but they'll be doing everything they can so that they

at least get a foothold before any type of big wins pick up tomorrow.
