We go immediately to Mr. Bliss because where in the world is Gavin Newsom, the popular and

easily comparable, powerful California governor for all time,

Gavin Newsom, is not in Sacramento.

Last I understood he was headed to China and then he popped up in Jerusalem.

Sympathetic to the tragedy there, but at the same time, Jeff, a very good evening to you I don't fly from Los Angeles

or San Francisco I fly to them now and again but not to originate there if you were going to China and you were in San Francisco,

would you go east or west is the puzzle. And if you go east to New York and head out to Jerusalem, I think that's the wrong way to go.

It doesn't seem convenient.

So the governor spent the last three or four days in the air.

Good evening, John. He seems to have taken Horace Greeley's advice and done just the opposite.

Go East, young man. But but of course that's where the biggest

you know the brightest limelight from the media is these days because of what's going

on between Israel, Hamas and all the neighboring countries.

And of course, when you do that,

you know, get your platform is much taller.

You're much more easily recognized

than you, you know, you're on the world stage.

It has been looked at with his trip to China as him trying to build or acquire his bona fides in international relations.

And because what he's done as a governor that with you know country to state has been here and there like any other kind of chamber of commerce type of

photo op moment that's those are the kind of things he's been doing But he's now he's trying to really establish himself
