in California. After years and years of a drought, maybe the drought still with us. Last

year, there was a moment where it looked the snow pack was filling up and then it stopped

snowing. So we begin tonight with a report about the snow in the north of California and

then moved to these large storms that are hitting serially in the Bay Area and in Los Angeles.

First, the snow, Jeff. Is it continuing to snow? It is continuing to snow throughout

the west. Different areas are picking up snow and we're having a little let down right

now in Southern California. But it has been snowing very hard for the past week or so.

Up to the point where you're looking at places such as Mammoth Mountain, which is in the

central, you know, Sierra's there, that area. And they have probably 180, almost 200 inches

of snow on top. The snow pack right now is promising, but there's no way to predict.

This snow doesn't seem to be bothering anybody in terms of commuting or lifestyle. In other

words, it's snowing where people know what to do. Is that correct? It's not an emergency.

That's correct. If you're up in the Sierra's or you're in Southern California ski resorts,

or even up in Oregon and Washington, you know, they have the occasional problems getting
