Summary

2016 was the best and worst year of my life. I experienced my lowest lows and my highest highs - all in the same year.

So, today, I thought I would share the top three things I learned last year. I am also making an announcement at the end of the podcast where I plan to post a video a day (5 days a week) on youtube - starting February. I'm going to commit to this for at least one month :) Listen at the end for details.

Hello and welcome to episode 108 of the Physician

0:03.7

assistant boards dot-com podcast. Now today's podcast is going to be geared a little

0:08.9

bit differently. It's not necessarily going to be medical review. Instead, what I wanted to do is touch on a

0:15.2

subject that I've been thinking about for a very, very long time. Now, a few days ago, I wrote

0:20.9

an email regarding the three truths to a great life.

0:25.7

Many of you received it.

0:26.7

I got some great feedback and I thought I would expand a little bit on this on the

0:30.3

podcast today and I know there's many of you who are not receiving my emails

0:35.0

who actually listen to the podcast so for those of you who did not read it or did not

0:39.2

receive it this is the topic that I want to touch on today, three truths to a great life.

0:44.9

And the reason why I decided to touch on this topic now is at the end of the year I typically

0:49.9

like to reflect and I'd like to see how far I've come in a sense because as we go

0:53.8

through the year you know life becomes very hectic life becomes very busy and it

0:58.1

becomes very very easy to just kind of drown in all the work that we have to get

1:02.2

done however I do force myself just kind of drown in all the work that we have to get done.

1:03.4

However, I do force myself and I do make it a point

1:05.9

to actually kind of take a step back

1:08.7

and make sure that I'm growing, right, personally

1:11.6

and professionally. Now 2016 was an insane year for me. It was honestly probably

1:19.6

the best year that I've ever had in my life coupled with the worst year meaning I've had

1:24.9

the highest of highs that I've had ever in my entire life in 2016 I've reached

1:29.8

new heights professionally it's something that I've never experienced before.
