I'm John Bachelor to New South Wales, to Jeremy Zakis, watching the climate, the weather,

and the suggestion of La Niña, imminent La Niña.

However for now we have this weather.

Heavy falls and possible thunderstorms could bring up to 120 millimeters of rain for parts

of coastal New South Wales.

Jeremy this begins to sound like the last time when it would bucket it.

Bucketing was the only way to describe your rainfall.

Right now there was a special day these last days, Anzac Day, April 25th every year, remembering

the crisis on the Gallipoli Beach for the New Zealand and Australian forces, celebrated,

commemorated every April 25th ever since.

How was the weather for Anzac Day?

Good day John.

Well I can report that Anzac Day was held sacramanously, completely clear of any of the bad weather.

We had fantastic weather here in Sydney.

In fact, fantastic weather in all of the major capital cities for Anzac Day was amazing.

The reason why that's so important, John, is because Anzac Day is one of those days where

almost every Australian gets out and either has a barbecue, goes out and enjoys the public

holiday and gets out basically into the streets to honour our veterans.

It was amazing for one other reason too, John, that less than 48 hours later, the eastern

seaboard here was starting to get hammered by incredible amounts of rain.
