This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I'm John Batchel with my colleague, Jeremy Zachus, teaching me Australia.

Now, the story so far is Dallas, the extremely friendly, 10 years old, Jeremy, 10 years old?

He is, he's an old boy now.

Share his breakfast with a collection of magpies, a gang, a family, who perch on the fence waiting for Dallas.

Dallas retreats to his little cozy pad and watches the magpies approach very carefully.

Jeremy's very generous with Dallas.

There's always something left.

However, we've run into a difficulty.

There was one particular magpie who didn't get his fill or didn't show up in time.

Is this a visiting magpie?

The photograph is very sad.

He's out there by himself looking around for where did

everybody go. What happened, Jeremy? Well, John, I don't know if we can actually be too sorry

for him because I think what we're seeing there is it was actually, I call him Granddaddy Magpie.

He seems to be the oldest one. He's been around for many years and he kind of leads the packs.

But what I think happened was he,

he did come around earlier in the day and had his fill of dog biscuits as he always does and

the rest of the family came in afterwards. But I think he was particularly greedy this day. And what

we're actually seeing and what I actually saw yesterday was when I found him out there, just

skulking and sulking on the back patio there where

there were no longer dog biscuits because I had to bring him inside because of course poor doubts,

even once his dog biscuits being inside as well, he was actually coming back for a second helping.
