This is the Friends Vista Debating Society. I'm John Bachelorette with Jeremy's

Actress of New South Wales, my guide, and my teacher on cricket. It's a wonderful

game I'm just learning. Jeremy's got all the language, so sometimes he has to

translate for me. I do understand, however, that the English team and the Australian

team play this game in all seriousness because of the history of it. The first

contest England was expecting to walk over Australia after all. They were far

away in a strange land and not at all sophisticated cricket players. They

didn't have lords. They didn't have the audience. And in the first contest

Australia won. That was then. Since then Australia and England have been

well matched until recently because England came up with a game called

Bazzball that was going to make up for the humiliation of the last Ash's

contest. It took place in Australia where Australia was dominant and the

English team was complaining a lot. Now that game is being played in England,

there have been two contests and England did and Australia won the first two,

especially tough as winning the second one when the last batter managed to

score all the runs he needed to win and the English team was frustrated. Well,

it had to do with the English team making a decision into the third test.

Were they going to stay with Bazzball or traditional cricket? Jeremy, what is

Bazzball and what was their decision? Well, John Bazzball is a very very lightning

quick form of cricket. And what that means is that instead of in cricket standing

back and basically taking the game conservatively. So if you're a batter standing
