He's been in South Australia so he can report across the continent the climate conditions of El Nino Year.

Importantly, this is Australia's summer,

and we expected in an El Nino year, big heat and a lot of dry temperatures, drying out

temperatures which would lead to wildfires. Instead, big heat before Jeremy

went away we had big heat and then rain rain in New South Wales.

Now Queensland gets hit with tropical storms, they call them cyclones, and that is normal.

And Western Australia seems to be, well, the old joke about the Southwest back in the 19th century

was, you'd rent out Arizona if you if you were well it was a joke about how hot it was

and that the devil would rent out hell and live in Arizona

However the heat wave in Western Australia looks to match anything that they could have seen

G'da, John. Well, I can report now here in New South Wales we're back to relatively mild conditions

and when I say mild it's it's about 20 degrees Celsius it's kind of sunny out there and I say

kind of because it is cloudy and the rain seems to be holding up again but but there is a catch only less than a week ago we had again

torrential rain we had really really heavy rainfalls and high winds and storm like conditions in a period

when we're supposed to get some very very dry conditions so again while it's nice

today John honestly I don't know what's going to happen in the next couple of days so
