| 0:28.5 | because they're reporting in a place, this is wonderful, called Birdsville, I wonder what's there, |
| 0:35.5 | 45 degrees centigrade, which is very, very hot. |
| 0:40.2 | We have 46 degrees centigrade at a place called Walsh Pilbara. |
| 0:47.3 | Jeremy, Queensland has Brisbane, the big town. |
| 0:50.7 | But are these temperatures where people live or are these the outback good day to you |

| 1:03.6 | Brisbane is the big city there in queensland it's it's very much to the southern part of the |
| 1:07.7 | state but when you get up to Birdsfield and up to sort of like |
| 1:10.9 | Waucahia, well, not Kenya, and weep here and some of those northern areas that we're reporting |
| 1:16.0 | those very, very hot 45 degrees, so 110 Fahrenheit temperatures this week, they still have |
| 1:22.7 | tens of thousands of people living there. And you can imagine too, John, living in some of those |

| 1:27.8 | while it's remote, it's still a town that's bustling and still relatively busy, but it's |
| 1:32.7 | also in an area that has got a lot of humidity. So not only are you dealing with over 110 degrees |
| 1:39.6 | Fahrenheit temperature, you're also dealing with a very, very humid part of the world, too. So I can only |
| 1:45.7 | imagine, John, that the poor people of Queensland right now, and I must say, too, some of the |
| 1:49.9 | temperatures down in Brisbane, too, were well and truly into the high 90s. Queenslanders right now, |
| 1:55.1 | they are definitely doing it really tough. Fire season, we have a great big fire in Ventura County on the coast north of Los Angeles. |
