This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I'm John Bachelors to my colleague Jeremy

Zachis in New South Wales, Sydney. We've been watching the weather in Australia as it approaches

winter for some weeks now with the regularities that don't add up to one thing or another.

We know there's an El Nino on its way. We know that the Antarctic air has been driving

north towards the Queen's, towards the Victoria, New South Wales part of Australia.

We also know that the whole of the country is expecting a regular weather. Perhaps lots

of rain, perhaps snow, unusual snow in the morning, for example.

But now we're told by the weather service, the word abnormal. Jeremy, a very good day

to you. Abnormal. Okay. What does that mean for New South Wales? What do you experience

in New South Wales?
