Hi there, welcome to the Sunday Supplement Podcast with me, Vicki Gommasore. The assistant

editor of the Mirror, Darren Lewis is alongside me as always and joining us this week is the

chief football writer for the Times Henry Winter. We'll discuss the fallout from Manchester United

as Eric Tenhard presides over their second defeat, a four-nall thumping from Brentford.

Manchester City win again this time, Erling Harlan doesn't get on the score sheet and I sat

down with Thomas Tugel ahead of their meeting with Spurs. I mean there's nowhere else that we can

start other than it Manchester United, of course. They are now bottom of the Premier League

the first time in 30 years after they were thrashed four-nil by Brentford. Now defeat means

that Eric Tenhard is the first Manchester United merger to have lost his first two games.

Since John Chapman back in 1921, not even any of us can remember that far back, thankfully.

Now let's get straight to it then because there have been some pretty poor performances

from Manchester United in recent times. Gary Neville described it as a men's team against

an under-nines. Was it their worst performance you've ever witnessed?

I think there will be a few coaches of under-nines team who would say well their boys or girls

could have done better. I thought it was absolutely spineless. You heard the Manchester City

United fans who were there, they were singing, they were defiant, they were trying to get behind

the team and they were seeing a team that was just a disgrace to the shirt and talking about shirts

don't play in line green again. I understand the glazes and I do.
