Hi guys. Today we got a special return guest to the podcast. His name is Owen Strand. So he was

on episode 361 of this podcast. We talked about his book Christianity and Wokeness. He's written

a lot of different books and he's got a lot of fancy jobs. He's a prover, provost and research

professor. He's a senior fellow at the Family Research Council. He's done a lot of great stuff.

And I talk a little bit more about his bio on episode 361. But for today, we spent the majority

of our time really the entire time talking about his brand new book that is out now called The War

On Men. Why society hates them and why we need them. So as you guys know, by now, I have a

book list on my website, the 100 books every modern Christian man should read this type of

manhood section. And I've just added that book as of this morning of the recording of this

podcast. I added that book on there. It is a fantastic breakdown, a biblical masculinity and really

what society and parts of society are doing to try to attack the foundations that are created

for men and by men. And so in this discussion today, we spent a lot of time really breaking that

down. We talk about, you know, why even write a Christian men's book like no one buys Christian

men's books. That's why, you know, most publishers won't even touch them. We talk about Vody

Bachum and the forward that he wrote. We talk about influencers and culture like, you know, an

annotator, a jaco willink and a Tim Kennedy and a camhains and a David Goggins and Joe Rogan

and all those guys and how men and young boys will actually look to those guys for manhood advice

because they can't get the advice inside their churches because most of the guys inside their

churches aren't really tough and rough dudes like they have the softness part down pat but they

don't have really that toughness piece. And we talk about how that gets into the dichotomy,

the seeming dichotomy between the Lamb of God and the Lion of Judah between servant and warrior
