Summary

We are in the midst of a spiritual battle against the devil, and we gain the upper hand when we learn to control our emotions. Satan tries to use negative emotions against us, but he is rendered powerless when we take authority in the emotional realm. Life is by no means perfect and bad things happen, but God has given us His Word on what to do when we are attacked by negative feelings. Rejoicing and giving God thanks and praise in the midst of a situation may seem strange at first to our intellectual understanding, but He has a good reason for this type of response. Using the Word as a weapon against depression when it tries to sweep us away gives us victory. Using the power of thanksgiving and gratitude is a major way we deal with all negative emotions. Thanking and praising God gives us victory over whatever ungodly feelings we may be experiencing at the moment.

0:23.0	Deuteronomy chapter 2 and verse 7 and you can remember last week we began to
0:29.3	talk about how to live in that no lack zone and I want to continue that teaching because I
0:37.7	believe that it is God's will for Christian people who know their covenant with God, Christian people who look forward and look for the love of God,
0:49.0	for you to recognize that living in lack is not God's will and it's not the norm or should not be the
0:55.3	norm for the Christian and so we have put so much emphasis on having faith in a set of principles to deal with lack, when in fact we should
1:09.1	be having faith in the person of Jesus Christ to deal with lack.
1:14.0	It's a relationship that's going to resolve the lack issues in our life
1:20.0	and not just principles.
1:21.0	Now I'm not against principles but you know it's kind of like you know people
1:26.8	taking the mechanics instead of the person and I believe that you know our provision is in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
1:35.5	I believe everything we need is in our relationship with Jesus Christ and so I want to challenge
1:41.6	you to look at your relationship with Jesus Christ
1:46.0	versus you know the set of principles the things that we do.
1:49.9	I have faith in Jesus to be my supply house.
1:53.2	Jesus is my supply house.
