Hi everybody and welcome to Outward. Slate show about queer life and culture. I'm Brian

Lauderd, Editor at Slate and today I'm joined by Daisy Rosario. Daisy is a senior

supervising producer of audio here at Slate and I'm so excited for her to be here.

Brian, thank you for letting me be here. You're always welcome and actually as I mentioned on

our miss recent episode we're going to be switching things up a bit. There will be more outward

in your feeds which is so exciting and Daisy is going to be one of the people working on that

with Christina Angels and the rest of us. You'll hear her voice here occasionally like today because

she is bringing us an interview that she recently did with Bob the drag queen. Yeah that's right I'm

we working behind the scenes with you guys and then occasionally you'll also hear me here if you

listen to some other Slate shows you might have heard me on those but yeah I'm excited to be here

and share this conversation with you. So Bob the drag queen as I'm sure plenty of people know is

the winner of season eight of RuPaul's Drag Race. Definitely one of the best known contestants to

come from that show I would say. Yeah and since winning they've put out their own stand-up specials

and built a really popular podcast called Simbling Rivalry that they co-host with another drag race

winner, Monet Exchange. They've also put out some pretty good hip-hop too but the biggest thing

you may have heard recently is that Bob is currently touring with Madonna on her big celebration

tour. Okay somehow I like missed this memo that is so awesome and what a perfect job for Bob. Bob

is the best like I'm not I've been a fan forever. Bob is actually the drag mother of another

sort of friend of outward drag queen Miss Cracker. Oh yes. But yes I knew Bob sort of before in

New York City before all of the fame I guess but this is like this Madonna thing is so so cool.

Yeah right like it was a really big deal when that announcement came out and there for like the

hardcore fans like Bob had to cancel some other like upcoming events and they had canceled it
