Hey, Poundsdon Institute listeners. We have something a little bit different this week because it's Labor Day weekend and the Institute is closed and the test tubes are all in the drying rack with festering viruses in them probably.

But here's the good news.

Sometimes so many funny things happen during our tapings that we can't fit them all into the show.

So we want to share one of those with you today,

Let me tell you a quickie about Mr. Jack Benny.

When I worked on the tonight shows, I hung out in the dressing room. I was in hog heaven. I'd go in and chat with

Sid Caesar and Danny Kay, whom I liked then. And every comic you can think of Bob Hope I was their friend and one day Jack

Benny finished the tonight show strapped on his burberry coat got in the elevator that was supposed to be only for the

star, and some tourists got in.

They weren't supposed to.

The door shut.

We start down. Are you really cheap?

Do you really have a Maxwell you still drive?

Hey, you got a guy're going to your house,

garden your money, every single one from his radio show.

And this lovely man would nod.

And then he finally got the, we had to the the floor they all ran out to tell their friends
