Hello, thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15, and the title of today's post is,

Our Faith is Growing.

Some people take offense when I mention that Abraham and Sarah wavered in their faith, off and on,

during their 25-year wait for Isaac.

Perhaps they assume I'm contradicting Romans 4, 17 to 21, and Hebrews 11, 8, to 12.

However, I'm not contradicting these verses, as I will explain.

Here are the two passages.

I'm not going to read all of both passages, but they're here for you, and I'll pick and choose

some highlights.

Romans 4.

As it is written, the Father of Many Nations, have I made you?

He's talking about Abraham.

In the presence of him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead, and calls into being that which does not

exist, in hope against hope, he, Abraham, believed. He did believe, so that he might become a father

of many nations, according to that which have

been spoken.

So shall your descendants be.

Without becoming weak in faith, he contemplated his body and he believed anyway, yet with

respect to the promise of God.

He did not waver an unbelief.

Contradiction?

We'll see.
