How's it going? Welcome to episode 235 of On the Wire. I am Adam Howe joined as usual by Kevin Hasting. And we have a fun little off-the-cuff, unscripted show for you today is Kevin is past the halfway point of his first

full draft of the 2026 season.

And in BC 50s, for those who are not aware, that is a draft and hold format where you

draft 50 rounds worth of players and no free agent pickups throughout the

year. So you've got plenty of bench spots to kind of play with. Your bench, your deep

bench is your free agent pool that you don't spend any money on. So that'll be fun. We're also just

about to finish up our PL two early mock draft as well. That is a 12-teamer in a Yahoo

style format, head-to-head, 12-team, one catcher league, no middle, no corner, three outfielders,

two utilities, and a bunch of pitchers. So very different formats, very different styles, but still some nice takeaways that I think

we can take from these first 25 or 23 rounds of each one of those drafts.

But Kevin, you were just itching.

You were texting me constantly about the rooms that were available, the ones you were thinking

about going, and you finally pulled the trigger and jumped in without me, which is perfectly

fine.

Not as great as it is going for Seattle Mariners fans at the moment as we're recording here on Monday evening, game seven of the ALCS and Big Dumper.

Just went yard giving Seattle a two-run lead now. They were up to one now three one as we're recording. So

yeah, it's just been a blast watching these postseason games at them, hopping in a draft,

looking at some other draft boards. I'm seeing people posting the mock draft we're doing with

the pitcher list podcast hosts. It's been a blast so far. we're down to our last pick in that draft so
