Got a good play for you today from the suspense program,

one of my favorite programs of old-time radio.

And this one stars Eve Arden.

Eve Arden was born April 30th of 1908, and she was an American film, radio, stage, and television

actress.

She was also a comedian as well.

She began her film career in 1929 and began her Broadway career in the early 1930s.

Her first major role was in the RKO Radio Pictures drama, Stage Door, of 1937.

She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie Mildred Pierce of 1945.

Later in her career, she played the high school teacher in the drama series, Our Miss Brooks,

and she also played the high school principal in the musicals, Greece of 1978 and Greece 2 of 1982.
