Chelsea wanted to get the majority of their transfer business done by the end of June.

Let me tell you, they've definitely been busy.

Well, Chelsea have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jamie Gittins.

David, let's lodge in with the headline news so far.

In the last week, Chelsea have reached agreements for both Jouard Pedro from Brighton and also Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.

They've been pretty decisive, proactive in the market so far. Liam

DeLap quickly out of the blocks with his release clause and that filled a number nine requirement.

But they weren't done there and it was straight on to the get-in situation which they explored

pretty aggressively prior to that first mini transfer window closing ahead of the

Club World Cup. They didn't manage to get the agreement on that occasion, but the conversations

continued. And when the main transfer window opened, they eventually managed to get the

agreement with Borussia Dortmund. The player was already sorted on a seven-year contract,
