Hello and welcome to the game theory podcast offseason preview series with Bryce Simon and I break down all 30 teams forthcoming summers and what they need to do to improve their team here moving forward.

Next up, we have the Orlando Magic, almost a team that orchestrated an incredible 8-1 upset in the first round of the playoffs,

but instead fired their coach. As of the time we're recording this, they do not have a new

coach, but I don't think that really changes the fundamentals of what we're looking at here

with this organization. Bryce, where are we out on the Orlando Magic? Because it was just a funky year with injuries and an offensive scheme that we both genuinely hated.

And also some success in the playoffs, but then ultimately not winning a playoff series.

Yeah, I mean, that's one where I do think who they end up higher.

I wonder at least if what we've seen the last couple of years and with how,

and we'll talk about how much this roster is or is not locked in,

if the roster does drive the type of coach they're looking for at least, right?

Like not saying it necessarily has to be this

person or that person, but are you out there searching for a creative, offensive mind?

Because my feeling on this team is it is very talented. And if you were able to get creative

and utilize these guys in a certain way, that it could still work.

And I'm probably in the minority on that.

But I am still somebody that likes Paulo Bankero as a player in this league and think is really,

really talented.

And I know the efficiency numbers don't always look great, but finds a way to up his production

at the very least in the playoffs.

Like the production is there in the playoffs.

He ever just 27 points per game along with nine rebounds and five assists in the playoffs.
