Plants to garden and keep on growing.

Primarily for leaf growth,

phosphorus for root formation and stem growth and

fruiting, and then potassium for flowering

and general immunity for the plant.

Now organic N.PK fertilizers can be both slow release and fast release.

Many have quick releasing, also known as labial nutrients,

and then more recalcitrant nutrients that will break down slowly over time

and supply a steady stream of nutrients, which often we want if we're growing a longer

season crop, we don't want all those nutrients available right away.
