Here are your quick hits for today.

First up, Representative Eric Swalwell, the Democrat from California,

announced his resignation from Congress as he faces multiple sexual misconduct allegations.

Swalwell continues to deny the accusations, but also said he must take responsibility and

ownership for the mistakes I did make.

Separately, Representative Tony Gonzalez, the Republican from Texas, announced his intention

to resign from Congress after acknowledging an affair with his former staffer.

Number two, U.S. and Iranian officials may return to Pakistan later this week to resume negotiations over the war.

Number three, a federal judge dismissed President Donald Trump's defamation lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal,
