Revolving around the life of the inventor of the Attenbomb, Christopher Nolan's new film

Oppenheimer looks set to be one of the biggest movies of the year. Released in UK cinemas today,

the film is inspired by a 2005 book co-authored by the late Martin Sherwin and the guest for today's

episode, Kai Bird. Martin in Kai's book, American Prometheus, The Triumph and Tragedy of Jay

Robert Oppenheimer, won a Pulitzer Prize for its exploration of the paradoxes and complexities

of the physicist's life, achievements and legacy. Kai joined Eleanor Evans to talk about the man

who inspired the book in the film and to give a historian's take on the Blockbuster movie.
